The entertainment industry is something that will never go away. There may be times when less is going on because the economy is bad, but it will go on. One of the first things that most stop spending money on is live entertainment and other events when money is tight, but they soon find that this is something that keeps them sane. No matter what is going on, there is always someone putting an event together. If this sounds like something you might like to do, careers in event planning might be what you should look into.
The great thing about careers in event planning is that these jobs are varied and you may never got bored with what you are doing. You are rarely going to be doing the same event twice, and even if you did, it would be nothing like it was the time before. This might be the number one reason why may choose careers in event planning. A very close second would be the chance to put together an event that will be – more than likely – a huge challenge.
Learning how to be an event planner is different since a career in event planning is not for everyone, however. There are some things that you must have to be successful. Probably the two most important things that a person must possess is a gift to paying attention to the smallest details, and having great time management skills.

Wedding invitations ideas and styles

With so much that has to be done when planning a wedding, it stands to reason that some things may end up being a last minute decision. The problem is, that “last minute” when it comes to something like a wedding, can actually be more like weeks and sometimes months.

So there you are, two months away from the big day, and you are at the printer’s to pick out the perfect wedding invitation. Which happens to be not as easy as he thought, as they have far too many perfect wedding invitation styles laid out before you to choose from. It almost seems as if you can’t make your mind up.

The thing is, people don’t realize that wedding invitation styles aren’t just about what seems to look nice printed on those cards. The style is supposed to give you some kind of inkling as to what you can expect the wedding to be like.

Certainly, a wedding invitation is supposed to lay some definite pieces of information out about when the wedding is, where it is to be, the names of the people it is to take place among and so on. But the people who receive invitations will also read between the lines – to see what kind of wedding it’s likely to be. It’s their first taste of the wedding. You want it to be pretty good.

This actually makes it easier for you to choose the wedding invitation styles that are presented to you. You just have to choose something that represents the style you’ve planned your wedding in.

For instance, if your wedding is to be a modern or contemporary affair, you’ll have a lot of freedom picking colors and styles to play around with. You can have a lot of fun with crazy envelope styles, cartoon or even movie characters. If it’s to be a classic or traditional wedding though, a mellower wedding invitation styles might go better.

Cotton paper that’s cream colored would probably look best. The lettering should probably be done in the gray, silver or a classic black. Some people feel that pure white stationery is the best way to go. Sometimes, paneled stationery can communicate a feeling of class and timelessness. Your wedding invitation is the first impression your guests will have.

Brides tend to forget when they choose among the wedding invitation styles, that there is another kind card they need to think about – the RSVP card and perhaps the thank you card. If you ordered all of them at once, you’d save a lot, probably. It’ll probably qualify for some kind of a bulk order rate. Party Photo Booth

I went to one of those “gala” events in Indianapolis. You know, a big fundraiser at one of the cool downtown hotels. First of the hotel is fabulously awesome! It is decorated to be one of the nicest building inside and out for the event in Indianapolis. This was a black tie event that we got invited to from my husbands client at work and it came with a free room. The free room was perfect because we got free drinks too.

Anyway, at this event besides all the who’s who in Indianapolis being at the event and a lot of alcohol consumed and lots of picture taking there was this photo booth. Seemed like a really fun idea for the event. So as the evening got later and later we noticed that the people at the photo booth were getting louder and laughing hysterically. What started out as a good idea to get a picture taken by one couple seemed to turn out to be not such a great idea. I think they thought they were in Las Vegas! Anyway, the girl kept showing her T— and her husband/date kept trying to help her show them. While it was kind of funny I’m betting that the next day when they woke up she was wanting to get a hold of the picture from the photo booth people.

It turns out that the company, Top Hat Photo Booths Indy had the situation under control. The guy at the booth said that he usually deleted those types of photos to be sure that the picture was never posted on-line or emailed to anyone. The only actual copy of photo was the one that the drunk couple got at the event. Seemed like a good idea on the part of Top Hat Photo Booths Indy to do this for the guests. I hope all the photo booth rental companies will do that as well.
