There is a safety plan under ASPCA pet health insurance that provides the very minimum coverage needed for a pet. This plan covers the medications needed to treat and injury as well as any X-rays and other diagnostics needed to be able to treat an injury to a pet. This plan will also usually cover the surgical procedures needed and any housing of the pet on the veterinary hospital premises during and after the procedure, as well as any dental services or euthanasia if that is what is needed after an injury has occurred.
