It might sound strange to you, but when I was a kid I loved auto sales. I dreamed about getting the perfect car, you see, so looking at used cars for sale was a lot of fun for me. For me, after all, the perfect car was an old 1968 Corvette. I could not get enough of old Corvettes, or Mustangs for that matter. Muscle cars ruled my world. Every time I would see a Trading Times advertising used cars for sale, I would pick it up. My mother thought it was pretty funny, but my dad was proud of me. He was a real man’s man, and he was glad to see me getting into cars.

The first auto sale I actually went to to look for a car was a police auction. I was 15 years old, and looking forward to getting my license at 16. I had been working a job for a few years, saving up money for auto sales. I wanted to buy a car as soon as I could, you see. I knew that, as soon as I was 16, I would be able to drive. I also knew that my parents wouldn’t help me out. I would have to buy a used car with my own money.

Actually, I did not get my first car at one of those auto sales. I want to a lot of used car lots, and I even looked at a few new cars, but I ended up buying a car from a friend. He was a family friend who had been fixing cars for years, and he had some great old muscle cars that were in reasonable condition. It cost practically every penny that I had, but I ended up getting a rest bucket Trans Am. It did not exactly drive like a dream, but I was the proudest kid in school to own it.

Nowadays, I run my own auto sales. You see, I have a used car lot of my own. I used to work on a new car lot, but I didn’t really like the way that selling autos went there. The neat thing about used cars is that everything is open for negotiation. I like making deals with people, and trying to find the right thing for the right customers. Working at the used car lot really lets me do that. I am happy because I make money on the auto sales, and the customers are happy to get the best deal they can.
